What you guys like?

mel-mel - November 11, 2004 01:52 AM (GMT)
I like Return of the King. I remember when I was with my friends. I started crying because of the spiders and the ending. I have a phobia of spiders.

But it had the best story line. And it's great to see movies like Lord of the Rings just tie in the end. =)

Would you believe I haven't ever watched any LOTR movie? I don't really watch movies that much. I think the most recent movie I saw was Resident Evil like 3 years ago. So yeah. I can't vote :P

Mist Assassin - January 3, 2005 09:50 PM (GMT)
The best LOTR movie in my opinion was Return Of The King

I liked Fellowship... They get a little confusing after that, because the books are so long and they skip around a lot. It's hard to make it into a movie, I can imagine. FotR is simple and easy to understand. I like TT a lot, too, though. My favorite book, however, was RotK.

I must pick at the movies real quickly...

In FotR, he left out Tom Bombadil! How could he leave out Tom Bombadil?! That's insane.

At the end of RotK, he left out the whole return to the Shire, which was very interesting, and it actually involved Saruman.. Which was cool. You know the reason he left it out? Because he didn't like that part of the book.

And how could he make Gimli, Pippin, and Merry seem so dumb?! Gimli was intelligent, and brave, and honorable, and he knew true beauty. He was not a fool. Merry and Pippin were great heroes, too, but they were just thrown in like comic relief. I know they were less serious than Sam and Frodo, and more distanced from the epicenter of the conflict, but they were brave and strong! And really tall, for hobbits.

Anyway, there's my three main rants... I'm done now.

EDIT: NO I'M NOT! He left out Fatty, too! And lots of other things! I know one has to leave out certain parts when making a movie, but Fatty?! And something else that I forgot!

The movies are more like visual companions to the books. You can't really understand them fully if you don't already know the story.

Return of the King is best. It has more depth of Characters in it. You can actually understand what is happenning.

I like ROTK because of the huge war! Death was all over!

Havoc - June 15, 2006 01:38 PM (GMT)
I would have to pick Two Towers, I don't know why, I just like it better.

DarkShame2 - July 3, 2006 09:22 AM (GMT)
I like all 3.

Mariko the Huggable - August 2, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
The Two Towers, had the biggest battle in it.

Raku Kenji - May 28, 2007 04:04 PM (GMT)
I liked ROTK the best, but FOTR was cool too. I liked FOTR because it was when the fellowship came to gether and set out on their journey, ya know? It kind of pulled the whole thing together and got LOTR started. Well, other than The Hobbit.

Sathe - May 28, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
Speaking of the Hobbit, who's pumped?!
Me!
Me!
Only two years!

Raku Kenji - May 31, 2007 04:08 AM (GMT)
