Storyline:

Gensokyo had a hidden legend, which not many people(?) in Gensokyo knows about it. It's about a being who would descend from the outside world and bring utter chaos to Gensokyo. Only those of the eldest youkais are aware of this legend, that is going to happen soon. Yukari Yakumo, one of the youkais that lived in Gensokyo the longest, finally aroused from her slumber(she usually sleeps, so...) and left to search for the one person who would definitely do her a favour. Reimu Hakurei, the miko of Hakurei shrine, the border between the outside world and Gensokyo is the youkai's target. Somehow, unsurprised, Reimu received the news from Yukari.

Yukari planned to bring someone else too, from the outside world, to Gensokyo in order to aide this situation. Reimu, however is given the task to lead this person(s) to defeat the being that would being destruction to Gensokyo.

Chaos soon takes place around desolate areas of Gensokyo first, but soon, news spread about that there are attacks around the human villages as well. Reimu knew she had to find this person soon, and fast.

Name: Reimu Hakurei[jap: Hakurei Reimu]
Gender: Female
Race: Human, miko(shrine maiden).
Abilities: Sealing and purification skills, high intuitions.
Description: A shrine maiden living in Hakurei Shrine, which locates at the center of the border between the outside world and Gensokyo, causing the shrine to exist both in the outside world and Gensokyo. Reimu is the only shrine maiden in Gensokyo, since Hakurei Shrine is the only shrine in Gensokyo. Even though so, the shrine rarely performs a shrine's duty, neither do the shrine maiden. Reimu is a slacker, usually. The only things she resembles a shrine maiden is the miko outfit and the hobby of drinking tea.
She doesn't train much too, but her talents cover her weaknesses. A straight-forward person, easy-going, optimistic and slightly curious. But, she does has this thinking that it is her duty to slay those who wrought chaos to Gensokyo, and thus she is also a demon slayer at most time.

*Sitting in the corridor of the shrine as usual, with a cup of tea in her hands, Reimu sighs heavily, looking upwards to the blue sky*
Reimu: I wonder how much longer I can relax like this...
*Reimu is aware of the current condition of Gensokyo, and her need to do something about it too. But, she just wants to be like this some more*
Reimu: The being that brought chaos to Gensokyo... What a legend...
*Whispering to herself for quite some time, she finally notices her cup of tea that is empty*
Reimu: Oh great.
*She stands up, and walks towards the tea pot that was on the table in the room behind her. She pours the tea into her cup, and took another sip. She places her cup on the table, and walks out of the room, out of the shrine. Looking forward, she saw someone, lying on the ground, unconscious*
Reimu: It's about time.
