TRIGUN: REBIRTH

Story:

Hundreds of years after the feud that transpired between Knives and Vash, they as well as Project SEED, the Plants, and the Gung Ho Guns were reduced to mere legends by the passage of time. It had also been discovered in recent years that Gunsmoke was not in fact a planet, but a single country in a world much like Earth, called Syrius. The people of Gunsmoke wasted no time in spreading throughout the world upon this revelation, quickly inhabiting all of it's nations and creating various cultures and lifestyles that were very different from one another. After a while, with the growing population, crime rates rose and chaos took over. To create some kind of control over this world, a government was put in place in each country, headed by a man calling himself Alexander the Great. This organization was known as the Republic. Many groups had emerged that would like to see the eradication of the Republic, while others sought to help bring about the downfall of those who would go against the Republic seeing it as a threat to world peace. Still others wanted only power, money and mayhem.

Name: Marcus the Maelstrom
Age: 23, human

Occupation: Drifter/Merc

Appearance: 6'4", 255 lbs., slim muscular build, spiked dark brown hair, light blue eyes, wears a dark blue trenchcoat, black gloves and black boots, white shirt, white pants, and a black belt.

History: Marcus was born to a small quiet family life in the city of Fondrique. In his youth Marcus learned to fire a gun as well as how to repair weapons from his father, who was an expert gunsmith. When Marcus was about ten years old his family was kidnapped from their home and brought to a govt. facility to be lab rats for a series of experiments that were aimed at creating a perfect human soldier. Marcus survived all of the trials he was part of and gained the ability to travel at an inhuman rate. Super speed if you will. He also gained heightened senses as well as greater control over them. His parents and sister, however, didn't fare so well. They died during an unknown experiment one night. Later on the next day Marcus was informed of this and he formulated an escape plan. He got out the next day through the ventilation system and returned to Fondrique where he stayed for a few years planning his revenge. He created all of his weapons and returned to the govt. facility. He killed all of the scientists and others involved with the experiments, approximately 2000 individuals, and left, never to return to Fondrique again. He is now a drifter with a large bounty on his head. He has few friends and will do anything for money. In recent years he has had numerous encounters with Knives and Vash, most of which resulted in a gunfight. Marcus has come very close to killing Knives and Vash on many occasions. With the Angel Arm being the only obstacle that he couldn't get past.

Weapons: Marcus made most of his weapons and ammo for them.

"MC-23" custom revolvers: 2 custom black titanium double action revolvers that are about one and a half feet in length and similar in appearance to the AGL Arms colt .45's. These revolvers hold 8 of the 2 inch long slugs at a time. Recently Marcus has designed explosive and flashbang-like rounds for it.

"Death Manifesto": A rilfe that Marcus made of a combination of steel and titanium. It is about five feet long and can hold 50 of the 5 inch long uranium slugs at a time. It has a removable scope and a flashlight. Recently Marcus has revamped this weapon by modifying it to have a rapid fire function as well as to carry more rounds at a time.

"The Reaper": A large coffin shaped weapon storage case that is about six and a half feet long and is carried diagonally on Marcus' back in a custom made sleeve. It contains ammo for all of Marcus' weapons as well as 4 small 9mm pistols hidden in side compartments and 10 extra clips of ammo for them. It also contains a 4 foot long katana should Marcus ever need it. The coffin itself doubles as a rapid fire plasma gun and a shield with special defensive capabilities (too complicated to list). There is a retractable trigger for the plasma gun function. He has also recently added a rocket launcher to the Reaper, as well as some revamped features. The most interesting of these is a function that sends a shockwave through the ground, shifting the sand in front of Marcus as well as causing a disruption to his opponent's concentration and possibly creating a quicksand like effect, the sand shifting wildly and engulfing his opponent if they aren't fast enough to get out of the way.

As mentioned before, Marcus is inhumanly fast. He has a max sustainable running speed of 150 mph. He can do short bursts of over 250 mph.

Bounty: $$10,000,000,000 for multiple homicide as well as various other crimes
