Actually, the eva movies are really turning out to be a big ol' pile of faggy faggy suck. That plus bullshit.
Mostly because Anno had no part in them. He wanted nothing to do with the movies until recently.
But that Japanese staff is doing sub-par, at least.
the four part movies are going to be less then tasteful, but I imagine that they'll at least be worth the ticket necessary to view them. But this is all waaaaaaaaaaaay old news. What people are all talking about now is the new eva merchandise.

Well, yeah, it is eva.
However Gainax is having little to nothing to do with the movie production. But their stance keeps changing and is currently divided over whether to join the production or to keep out of it.
But not like we haven't seen an internal conflict like that a bazillion times before.

Well, if Gainax actually did work with the movie, it'd turn out to be fricking awesome. . .just because Gainax is awesome, and EVA.

Course there was that really shitty Eva game. . .think it was the 64 one. Can't remember.

The one for the N64 was like a fighting game. It was very sub-par. But I seriously doubt it ever reached American shores.

Well that actually depends on your definition of "more." Because it's just going to be a re-make of already released material. However in a way that hasn't been done before. So in one way it's the same, and in another it's something new.

The game your talking about is just scenes from the game made into a flash program. And they made an updated version of it that you can torrent anytime you want to for XP.

Rebuild of Evangelion is an announced series of four animated films in the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In September 2006, the October edition of the Japanese anime magazine Newtype reported that the new cinema series "Rebuild of Evangelion" will be released in the summer 2007. [1] On September 9, 2006, GAINAX's official website confirmed that "Rebuild of Evangelion" will consist of four movies. The first three movies will be an alternate retelling of the TV series (including many new scenes, settings, backgrounds, characters), and the fourth movie will be a completely new conclusion to the story. Hideaki Anno will write the scenario for the first movie and will be the general director and manager for the entire project. Kazuya Tsurumaki will direct the movies while Yoshiyuki Sadamoto will provide character designs and Ikuto Yamashita will provide mechanical designs. Shinji Higuchi will provide storyboards for the first movie. The first film will launch in Summer 2007, the second in January 2008, and the two final movies will be shown together in Summer 2008. [2]
