Title: King of Bandit Jing

A Pair of Glowing, Yellow Eyes - September 7, 2006 05:41 AM (GMT)
A personal favorite of mine, King of Bandit Jing (a.k.a. Jing: King of Bandits) tells of the adventures a young boy named Jing (Who is, in case you couldn't tell, the king of bandits) as he travels across the world, stealing great treasures while helping people solve their problems.

While it was originally a Manga series, I believe, it was the anime that first caught my eye.

I admit it has it's flaws. The story so far contains heavy foreshadowing that is yet to be explained (the woman inside the gem he carries, for instance), and sometimes production values are low (In one of the last episodes, the camera pans down the image of the girl Stir sitting on a window sill, and as it pans, you can se that they never drew her legs O.o), but it's all part of the series' charm.

This is one of few series where I prefer the dub, simply because I like Kir's rough, almost Gilbert Godfried like voice over his more classy Japanese one.

There are far too few fans of this series, so I'm hoping that some of them are here.

EDIT: It occurs to me that, though I checked for one first, I missed the fact that there is another topic on this deeply buried on the third page. This raises an interesting question: Would you rather I made this new topic, or necromancied the other one?

This one has always looked interesting to me, i should probably read the manga, because even the slightest problem in the anime can set me off. Its a curse.

I'bve yet to see this, but it has also interested me. When I brought Kino's Journey sometime early this year, a friend of mine recommended this one. It looks interesting enough, I'll have to see if Spanish has it in his download list.

I've only seen 3 episodes of this anime. And the reason is because my sister borrowed it from a friend.

Really nice. I would like to buy the boxset but unfortunately, I am broke.

Whatever. Dreams can come true if you try and make them. >_<

That show was so cool! The OVA was okay... It wasn't good or bad...

I could have guessed you liked the show... your avatar and banner scream it >.>

I really need to get more of the twilight tales manga. It's really annoying, they neverhave it there, I have to order it and wait so many weeks :P

I haven't read twilight tales. I've only read up to the end where the manga says, "He'll be back for the twilight tales...." Or something like that...
