Title: Personality questions.

Thome - June 22, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
These are simple questions that revile aspects of a persons personality.

Here's a good one: Would you rather pack a lot of food before a trip, or would you rather pack lightly, but eat a lot before and after the trip?

both...eat a lot before and after, and always be prepared if you want to snack

Thome - June 22, 2006 08:58 PM (GMT)
Yes, but that snake would have to be light. Otherwise you'd be warping the question.

Chrone_Broderick - June 22, 2006 09:51 PM (GMT)
some people like to eat more than others, so why not a big meal, big snack, and another big meal? without warping the question?

Thome - June 22, 2006 09:52 PM (GMT)
what do you mean "without warping the question."
That would completely defeat the entire meaning of the question.

Chrone_Broderick - June 22, 2006 11:36 PM (GMT)
on the contrar..would it not tell more about the personality of the person, which is the whole reason you ask the question?

Thome - June 23, 2006 01:44 AM (GMT)
Actually, no.
If you allow the person to bend between the two options, then it they would realize the perfect way to deal with the situation. Two options becomes one options and then what does it say about a person if everyone says the same thing? Go with the two, and only the two. Otherwise things get rhetorically whipped of what they were made to mean.
(I've been through a situation like this before, trust me.)

Chrone_Broderick - June 23, 2006 02:01 AM (GMT)
your wording is confusing...I suppose with options, I see what you are saying, so screw the options and let them answer in whatever way they will? or too hectic?

Thome - June 23, 2006 02:18 AM (GMT)
It means that there is a simple solution to the problem that anyone could figure out.
So two options would become one option.

Sathe - June 23, 2006 02:55 AM (GMT)
Well, first of all I'd want to know where I was going on this trip, and for how long.

That would affect my answer a lot.

But if it was just in general, I would probably take food with me, because eating is something I do to make myself feel comfortable.

Thome - June 23, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
Wow.
That post was completely on subject.
Congrats.

Havoc - June 26, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
pack alot of food before the trip, because i can eat during the trip. it depends how long the trip is, cuz if i only eat before and after, then what am i gonna eat during?

Thome - June 27, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
you mis-read.
Pack lightly during the trip. as in small amounts of food, but a large feast before and after.
but if you pack all your food while your going, then it would take up quire a bit of room which is equivalent to weight.

Jarrid - June 27, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
Pack light eat almot b4.. lol

Thome - June 27, 2006 03:42 AM (GMT)
Buy is packing lightly such an easy option?
When if something happens and you get lost?
wouldn't it be better to have the a food?

Jarrid - June 27, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
Ive got a gps thinggy

Havoc - June 27, 2006 06:31 PM (GMT)
alright packing lightly then. thats the better option.

Coconaught - June 27, 2006 07:02 PM (GMT)
well you see...I'd pack lightly...I've camped out a lot so I know pretty much what foods you can eat and what foods you can't...so if I get lost I could just live off the land...

Clyphire - June 28, 2006 06:09 AM (GMT)
Id like pack alot and eat alot before the trip... Food is great.

NaotaInko - June 29, 2006 06:25 PM (GMT)
Was that even an option?

I guess I'd eat a lot before and after and pack lightly. I camp a lot so I'd think I would know what to do.

Thome - June 29, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
Okay here is another:

You could go through the dessert and It would take 3 days, or you could go around the dessert and it would take 6 days.

Which route would you choose?

NaotaInko - June 29, 2006 06:36 PM (GMT)
That depends, where am I going? If I need to go to a hospital for my mother for example, and I have the right supplies, I'd go through the desert. But if it's something my father I wouldn't take either path (ain't an option but still) And if it's just to get to some city for no apparent reason, I'd take the long way around the desert.

Thome - June 29, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
These are just in general.
Just say you preference.

NaotaInko - June 29, 2006 06:47 PM (GMT)
I'd go the long way around since I hate sand.

Sathe - June 30, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Am I walking? Am I in a car? On a camel? In an airplane?

Assuming that I'm going to be exposed to the elements and not protected by modern luxuries such as air conditioning and free wifi... If we're near a desert it's going to be pretty damn hot (not to mention dry) no matter which way I go. If I had enough food and water, I'd go through.

But if I assume that when you say "go around the desert" you mean "be pretty damn comfortable" then I'd stick with comfort. I'm probably not in a rush.

But if I am pressed for time, then I'd probably go through. Again, only if I had the proper supplies.

It all depends.

Clyphire - June 30, 2006 02:31 AM (GMT)
Id sooo go through it!! Than see how long I could hold some sand in my hand!! (at noon!!!)

Thome - July 2, 2006 06:14 AM (GMT)
Once again (i'm getting tired of sayin' this. >.>)
This is all just in general.
Just what your preference would be.

Clyphire - July 2, 2006 09:53 PM (GMT)
Id go through it....

Liminality - July 3, 2006 06:57 AM (GMT)
you can't do that alex, it's too vague :P
but if i have to either go through a random desert for some random effing reason in 3 days, or go around it in 6 days i would choose the latter.
