The large majority of stereotypes are based on either truth, or flawed logic.

Sterotypes are nothing more then people who choose not to understand someone, basically assummptions or ideas to make them feel better about themselves when they're around those people. Wheater they're better then you or not, though that's just what I think about em'.

Though some of them are true, most of them aren't, if you ask me anyway.

Well...I believe that stereotpyes ,or labels more like, have their place in the world. They help people feel like they're connected to a much larger group for one. But I do believe that only you should decided what to label yourself. No one else can because no one else knows you well enough. Those types of stereotypes are of course moronic. To jump to conclusions about someone simply from the way they dress, act, or say. Most especially when done so simply from where they are from or what they look like physically.
Also, it's not often that those deciding to label themselves can pick only one. A human is far to complex to be summed up into a single word. It would take many stereotypes to describe a single person and more often than not one doesn't fully fit the category in it's entirity but simply sports several of the characteristics of one.
So I guess that's really all I got to say on the subject. Not against or for them. I'm somewhere in the middle. It all depends on how they're used after all.
