Has anyone heard of Hellsing? It's an awesome manga/anime about a vampire agency that kills, well...other vampires, kinda. But anyway, Sir Hellsing and his side-person Police Girl go and fight these doods. But they run into this maniac named "Father Anderson" holy crap he's a load. He has two realy long sharp dagger things, and he slices off Sir Hellsing's head, and throws about 100 smaller daggers through Police Girl. But Police Girl is about to drink Sir Hellsing's blood from his head, [Sir Hellsing can't die, he's a vampire] but suddenly, Integra shows, [part of the Hellsing agency] and stops Police Girl from drinking Sir Hellsing's blood. And so they both manage to kill Father Anderson with their heavy utilery. [buy some Hellsing if you want to know more]

ya hellsing is wicked, kinda like an adult anime, but very good. i never read the manga though, only saw the anime.

I've read the first few volumes. It's not bad.

first of all, sir Hellsing is the chick the runs the Hellsing corporation.
The Hellsing corporation is an agency that works to kill off super-natural crap.
the name of the vampire that works for the Hellsing corporation is named Alucard *wink wink* And he is an instrument used for fighting vampires, yet has lost all control. He has to ask permission to re-access is vampire powers. however a dark secret has been creating artificial vampires in excess and threatens to ruin not only Hellsing, but all of Britain.

In case you didn't get it Alucard is Dracula spelt backwards.
Dracula was a son of lillith who was a demon with the shape of a human. He was the first vampire and the last vampire, or so says the holy book of Enoch which was scrapped from the bible in the 300's A.D. by a roman emperor by the name of Constantine. Since then the text spelling out dracula's history has been warped, but overall still stays realitivly close to it's origins, especially compared to the rest of the bible. (like the most famous book of the bible: the book of John, in which there is not a single sentence that is the same as the actual book that John the deciple wrote. Because of Re-statings and Re-tellings.)

The manga and the anime are different. But they still both kick ass!

I actually highly prefer the manga to the anime.
The manga doesn't hold up as far as the action goes, but it has so much more content.

I haven't read the manga but I loved the show. Though I had a hard time telling if Sir Hellsing was a man or a woman for awhile. o_O

Hellsing is amazing! It's one of the best series I've seen/read. Kind of retarded, though.

Alucard is the vampire. Sir Hellsing, the blonde woman, runs the organization that Alucard serves which works on destroying supernatural monstrosities. Does that clear it up, maybe? I'm not even really sure where the confusion is though. Now I'm confused cause I don't know what everyone's confused about. @_@
