I've seen a couple people mention Elfen Lied in a few topics around here, so I know there are fans, but no topics *sniff* Sooo, yeah ^_^ Talk about Elfen Lied and the awesomeness.

The plot in Elfen Lied was extravigently full of character development and a very interresting story line.

But the first two that you have to mention is blood and titties. >.<

compared to other anime elfen lied does not get deep at all...

some girl gets powers that she doesnt want and is held at an institution away from the guy she loves. she cant be with him cos her powers will hurt him.

its not that deep. the only highlight of the plot is when i realised what happened to his father and sister i was like "oooooooohhhh ok then..."

pretty much the highlight for me was the complete carnage that i always love and a few funny faces

I'd have to agree it wasn't too deep but deep enough to keep me intriqued. (consdiering I see titties everyday that part doesn't peak my interest)

I love the use of violence and balence of catharsis, a good anime to lure your friends in who don't like anime so much.

One of my friends from an old forum I was on said this was the best anime of all time, so I've been to trying to get my other friends to download it so I could watch it, but I heard it's only 13 episodes long?

Actually Elfen Lied is considered Ecchi, there's nudity , but it's not sexual.
There's 3 branches of Anime.
Anime- your usual comedies and other stuff , with no nudity- Ex: Trigun, Hellsing, Comartie High ,etc.
Ecchi- nudity is in it, but it is not sexual in anyway- Ex: Ranma 1/2, Elfen Lied, etc.
Henti- basically the "porn" you speak of Phire, and Elfen Lied is not porn.
Ex- (don't watch it so no examples known, though supossedly Green Green is and a few other things that one of my friends watches)

I just saw the first episode of this today, and I have one question. . .what is that music playing in the beginning when Lucy (that is her name right?) is killing all of those people, I liked that song a lot.

Actully I have a second question, when she (Lucy) ends up eith those two people, does she suddenly have memory loss, or is it something like a split- personality?

The bullet that hit her in the head and broke off her mental restraint caused mental damage, so yes: she has split personalities. the dominant of those two personalities being Nyuu, and Lucy staying dormint in the back of her own mind.

And Diclonius are in a way "elvs." Haven't you ever read the beutiful poem entitled Eflen Lied?

In all seriousness we've read a lot, 1942 (or was it 45, damn my memory) , Romeo & Juliet, other Shakespere plays, and some other stuff. Though I personally hate all Shakespeare stuff, probably because in my English Final we have to act out Romeo & Juliet in a selected group of 200 random students from the school, which pisses me off now that I just learned that today from my English teacher. Anyway I guess you could say we did just "dip" into fine literature. I like english a lot though, it's my favorite subject, like to read and write stuff like that, though I've never heard of that poem, ever.

Well, I just finished watching this great show, and I have two questions, one of which I'm pretty sure on the answer.

1) Was that Lucy at the end, by the gate, you know when Kouta mentions that the clock is working again? (This is the one that I'm pretty sure it's Lucy/other personality)

2) Why are the Diclonius trying to kill humans? I never quite got that part, I know it has something do with being sent by God, but that's all I got on that.

1. That's left up to your own imagination, or maybe there will be a sequel?

2. They were the next step in evolution. You know that Homo Erectos killed off all the Prometheus in the first ever war back in prehistoric times. The same thing goes for now. A new species rises, and has an uncontrollable urge to kill off all of the species before it. Happens all the time.

Ehh, it's possible for a sequel to come, I'd like to see one, but what would it be about?

Hmm, I was off there, but ehh that's true that kind of stuff happens.

Anyway, the sequel would probably be that start of the end. As in it would pick up right where it left off....or whatever.

Elfen Lied ended up in my top 10 favorites, when I first heard my pervert friend talking about it though, it sounded like some stupid high school perverts fantasy (hey, if a pervert only talks about the nudity that's in it and nothing else you'd think the same thing) but it was actually pretty good.

Maybe the sequel would be about killing off all the Diclonius, but that's just my guess on it. Maybe that army dude would be back and doing it (I never caught his name, you know, the guy who needs a prosticate arm after Lucy rips it off, and cripples his other hand. Also she pokes his eyes out. The really bad ass dude, you know)
Though we could only guess on what would happen afterwards, damn people whoever made it to make me do that, making me think and shit.
