I just got the fourth volume of Fafner today.
Really good series and the intro song alone is awesome.
It does kinda look like Evangelion in essence but they are slowly explaining it all. Just hope the ending is not like Evangelions was.
Most of the Fafner looks the same but there are a few different ones like the Marl Zechs and the shield Fafner from volume 3.
