Chapter 1: Redemption
What….what happened?
He carefully looked around him, taking in his surroundings. Gigantic desk with an oversized red man with glasses sitting behind it. Two, very scared looking, office like blue men to the side. This was certainly not Earth.
Did I…lose? No, impossible! I am the perfect being! I do not loose!
“Ah, Cell…I see your reign of terror as finally been brought to an end. Kami knows we had enough souls from you,” the red giant said. “I am King Yemma, Im here to tell you where to go for you’re the rest of your afterlife.”
What is that old fool blabbering about? I did not die! I am perfect! I do not die! But still….
An image surfaced to his mind. There he was, and Gohan, facing off with kamehameha waves. Each striving for power, each knowing that their life depended on the outcome. He had gained the upper hand. He had been so close to victory he could literally feel its sweet embrace. He had prevailed, even when those worthless fools had ganged up on him. He had been winning. What had happened?
“Why the lost look, Cell? Surely you didn’t expect to win?”
Vegeta, that’s what had happened. He remembered it all now. Vegeta throwing off his concentration enabling Gohan to overpower him in his moment of distraction.
“For all of your heinous acts on Earth I’m sure you know where your going. Hell has a cell just for you.” Yemma picked up a stamp, ready to mark across Cell’s name that he was going to Hell. Cell stared into space, still trying to accept the situation.
Suddenly, the door burst open, making Yemma jump, causing his stamp to fly out of his hand. He fumbled for it and, once it was secure in his fist, looked up at whoever had made the noise.
“What’s up, dudes,” Grand Kai asked, readjusting the boom box on his shoulder. He grinned toothily, flashing the rock on sign at King Yemma.
Yemma, shocked, only managed to gape. Cell hadn’t even noticed the blatant entrance.
“I’m here to tell ya Cell isn’t going to Hell,” Grand Kai started, walking foreword and placing his boom box on the floor.
“What!? But Cell has killed countless numbers of humans. Surely-” Yemma was cut off by Grand Kai.
“Hey, I’m just telling you what the Supreme Kai told me. Cell is getting a chance to redeem himself.”
Cell seemed to come out of his daze at those words. He turned curiously towards Grand Kai, a non-existent eyebrow raised.
“Redeem himself,” Yemma asked, outraged, as if the very thought of Cell redeeming himself was preposterous. And indeed, to him it was. What had possessed the Supreme Kai to give Cell a chance to redeem himself? “And how, exactly, is he to “redeem himself”?”
“Well, he’s going to be given the body of a teenager and he is going to attend a school called Orange Star High. Supreme Kai wants him to change the lives of three people for the better….and befriend Gohan.”
Cell’s magenta eyes widened like saucers. Befriend Gohan? They had to be out of their imperfect little minds. He didn’t even want to think of Gohan, much less be in the same vicinity as him.
“Well, Cell,” Grand Kai said, turning towards the shocked bio-android. “Wanna get a chance to redeem yourself?”
Cell glared skeptically at the old Kai. “And why, exactly, have I been given this chance?”
“You know, I asked the Supreme Kai that myself. He didn’t answer though. Just mumbled something about the future and told me to go.”
Cell stared blankly at him for moment. Inside, his mind wasn’t as blank as his face. The wheels were turning inside his perfect mind, forming all the possibilities that could come from this. Revenge being the foremost. They were practically offering it to him! Go back to Earth, be near Gohan. It was the perfect opportunity. Perhaps he could even go along with them for awhile. Become friends with Gohan, then stab him in the back at the last moment. No, he had a sense of pride. He would do it fairly. He had almost done it fairly last time, until those worthless fools had ganged up on him! Despicable, really.
“Uh…Cell?”
The scheming android looked up, a gleam in his magenta eyes.
“When do I leave?”

Okay, finally have the second chapter done. Here it is;
Chapter 2: Resurrection
“You leave right now, of course. No time to waste, the boy your inhabiting is already ready to pass on to the next world,” Great Kai said. “Ah, yea, one more thing before ya go. When you return to Earth, all your powers will be intact, but the moment you use them for anything besides flight, your spirit will be ripped from your temporary host and sent straight to Hell. Do you understand?”
Cell had grinned mentally at the thought of all his powers intact, but his thoughts shattered when he heard the restriction on them. He wondered how much havoc he could cause before he was sent back. Not enough to hurt Gohan, he was sure. Of course, there were other ways to hurt someone other than brute force…
“Cell? Are you ready?”
Cell looked up from his musings, a smirk on his pale face. “Yes, I’m ready.”
Before he could blink, he felt a tug on his midsection. Next moment, he was hurling through the air, spinning wildly. Just as he felt he wouldn’t be able to take it anymore without throwing up, he came to an abrupt stop. He gasped for breath while trying to regain his bearings. When his head had stopped spinning he realized he was in a much different place than Yemma’s office.
He was in a hospital. White walls blared, nearly blinding him. There were also little posters of smiling, stick-figure kids with a doctor. But none of those caught his attention. What did was the small family below him.
A boy in his teens was laying on a cot, a mouthpiece was around his face and he was breathing in slowly, making a wheezing sound every time he did. Next to the bed was a short copper haired woman sobbing on a gray haired man’s vest. The man looked sad as well, lines creasing his forehead and his brown eyes glistened with unshed tears.
Cell stared stonily at them, not the least bit moved by the emotional display. He even began to get impatient. The boy would just hurry and die he could inhabit the body. The heart monitor went flatline, he watched as a soul arose from the boy. It lingered a bit, and then flew out. Cell took his chance and zoomed into the body.
Once in he became aware of his new body. He was definitely shorter than before it seemed, and his hands were smaller as well. The boy was a weakling to his perfect body! But he supposed that was to be expected. This was a human body.
He could hear the sobs of the woman even louder now as well. He winced slightly, noting that his sensitive hearing was intact. The blasted woman obviously didn’t hear the beeping monitor over her loud bawling. He attempted to sit up so he could show her he was just fine, but he couldn’t move. He was still adjusting to the new body.
It was the man who noticed him first. He gaped slightly, then shook the woman in his arms.
“Pam? Pam, look! Robert is alive!”
The woman named Pam sniffled, then turned her head towards Cell, or rather, Robert. She gasped slightly, then threw herself at him.
“Oh Robert! I’m so glad your alive! I..I….I don’t know what I would do if you had left us!”
Cell glared down at the woman who was clinging to his waist. “Your getting me wet,” he stated stiffly.
She chuckled slightly, as if use to it. “Oh, I’m sorry.” She detached herself from him. “Forgot your always so detached. I’m just so glad to see you alive!” She sniffled once more, smiling through her tears.
Cell wondered if he should say he was glad he was alive as well, because he truly was, but he was saved from giving a response when the doctor rushed in, a nurse behind him.
The doctor came over, checking his temperature and other things. Cell waited patiently as the doctor examined him. When he was done, the doctor stepped back, amazement on his face.
“I don’t know how, Mrs. Winters, but it seems your son has made a full recovery.”
The woman gasped in surprise, clasping her hands in happiness and turning towards the man.
“Did you hear that dad? Robert is full recovered!” She turned back to the doctor. “Does that mean he can come home today?”
The doctor looked skeptical. “I would like him to stay over night, just to be safe.” The woman nodded in agreement, too exhilarated to have anything daunt her happiness. She went over to Cell and clasped his hands.
“You can come home tomorrow, Roby-poo. I cant wait!”
Cell nearly blanched at the nickname, but managed a nod and a slight smile.
“I cant wait to go home,” he said, truly meaning it. The sooner he was “home”, the closer he was to revenge.

Ahem, wasnt too happy with it. Suggestions? Ideas? Comments? >> I wasnt sure if I should give him his powers back or not, but I decided to (make for some intresting scenes later). I also wasnt sure about names. o.o I mean, my names dont really match Videl, Gohan, Erasa, or Sharpener. I just decided to whing it though. Well, tell me what you think please!
hmm i like the first chapter better but its still moving along well. im wondering how the storyline is gonna progress. keep posting! :) (if yuore still there)
I'd have to agree, that was a good story. I do think that the second chapter made it fall a little on the wow scale though. Other than that is was good B) .
