parries and feints etc.

i just practice everything in my own time, with my own stuff. me and my friends spend most of our lunch times "poking" each other. however, i use this time to improve not only my offensive fencing but also my parries and agility.

it works too. just today, wyatt tried to get me in a headlock. i saw it in the corner of my eye, put my arm into his shoulder, ducked, and reversed with a one-armed chokehold (i think that is what you call it).

my two-handed sword stance is really unorthidox. some may even say it is dangerous to myself. i hold the hilt with my left hand (i'm left-handed but can easily switch), then grasp my wrist with my right hand. it looks a little weird and takes some getting used to but it gives you a lot more control. it also makes it easier to do right hand attacks while using it.

everything i do is self-learned. i don't have the money or will to get any lessons on anything.

you hold it with the hilt!? the hilt is the cross part just above the handle..

never heard of that game.

It's not a game. Fencing is sword fighting. With the two people who wear the big weird looking white suits and say phrases like 'En Guarde!'

It could help improve sword fighting, even though that's not really a hobby nowadays

yeah, heaps fun. i go psyco with sticks now after doing it.

if you're ever around me and i'm holding a stick...

RUN AWAY!
