This is a book 2 years in the making. It isn't some regular amateur book (no offense to anyone) but rather a thoroughly thought out story that, while trying to be modest, will move people to laughter, anger, and even tears.

That is the link to the opening of Planet One. The first chapter is after the cover. Soon the second chapter will be up and I promise it to be a good one.

Don't want to give anything away but it is an Action/Adventure/Romance. Less to do with romance (except the first chapter and then later on), more to do with adventure as you will see in future chapters.

I've spent the past few years observing human actions and have applied that in order to pull some crazy twists. There is already a twist in the first chapter. If my opener is like that already, imagine the future of Planet One.

thanks, and ming, don't worry, there will be more romance in it later. a story can't start out with some explosive romance that is finally revealed and then yanked away like that. that would just make for a good story. good thing i did that.

*warning* this book will be loooooooooooooonnnnnnnng. really long. there is plenty of time for romance. chapter 2 is avtually going to bring in another romance as well as introducing some new characters.

sorry, you can't find out what happened to Gaven and Jess until chapter 3 :P. one hint though. i love playing with people's emotions (as you could hopefully see) and that will play a major role in how the story turns out. nothing is as it seems (such a cliche phrase, but true). no one is who they seem to be. death may actually be better than life. actions shout without words.

enough cliche phrases. my book (trying really, really hard to be modest) is going to hopefully be wonderful. legendary, maybe. the reason is because i've worked at this for a long, long time. this isn't something i just jumped on and started. i've only recently started writing this version of PO. i have 2 older versions of it that i dropped and now i'm finally ready to move forward.

Better..... i study the subject ^_0. And from there a lot of research, practices, and a heck lot of anime, movie and book critiscm.

Anyway if i ever say anything that may hurt your feelings i'd like to say sorry in advance... and that i purely don't have any intentions of it (been through it, been hurt before so i'd know). but i really would like to help other writers. And in turn i hope you can help me as well when i start putting up my novel ^_^.

Anyway..... as a start your description strenght is impressive.... and your characters are very alive (Gaven so far.... because so far i've read it's all about Gaven and Jess)

But there's a few things missing like setting description. Time and place of the characters, it should be done quite early so that the readers can picture the characters and their backgrounds. Whenever you write remember the character's five senses, nose, eyes etc to create more realism.

I read that usually most writers fail because they couldn't get the readers to stick to the story (meaning to go on reading). One method is write the point of the story at the beginning, or a mystery or event that'd make the readers ask some question of "why did it happen like that?" so that they'd read on to see the answer. The other is to make the readers love your character so much that they'd want to read on and see what happens. (like Naruto...)

This one's a bonus, that these days the most important thing that'd make a reader start reading that first chapter is your voice. (Read harry potter, ignore Lord of the Rings. If you compare the both you'll see what i mean). This method is usually applied in female chic books (yes yes i've read them...) Uniqueness of the writer's voice/description style will give a temporary hold on readers. After that it's up to your plot.

^_^ After reading your first chapter suddenly i'm inspired to start writing my next novel..... i'll put it up soon so Yoroshiku ne..... give me some thoughts on what i may have missed in my writing.

thanks for the review there. i know i still have a ways to go. after all, this is my first book, heck, attempt at writing. i'm also happy i could get an unbiased view from someone i don't really know. no offense to all my friends that read it and said it was great, but i really need a lot more outside opinion. people that aren't afraid to say "this book sucks!" except give a reason.

I so agree..... it's great and all that ur friends stick it up for you..... but sometimes you'd actually would like them to say it's bad if it is.... so that you could improve.

i love all the feedback i'm getting from everyone. i never expected anyone to ever actually like it. in truth, i write PO for me, no one else. and the other truth is that i'm never satisfied with how my writing has come out. but it is great to know that my hard work is appreciated.

i got the inspiration to write chapter 3 the other night so after chapter 2 is done, expect 3 not too far away.

sorry guys. chapter 2... has been delayed (NOOOOOO!!!!). it is all because of my stupid spanish class. we've had like three projects in the past week. i just finished the last one today and can finally crack down on my book. i will try to get it done by the weekend. if not, i will definately have it done after the weekend.

there is one thing, though. i really need you guys to review all my chapters on the actual fictionpress.com as well because the more reviews i have, the more popular my book becomes on the site, and the more people i can get to read. then they can review and make it even more popular so i can get even more people to read it. therefore, i'll have every possible person reading it and i'll have good reasons to press forward much faster. at the moment, i'm just writing for myself and the few fans i have. but with more fans, i'll be inspired more often, and sooner. sounds kinda like an RPG, huh?

anyway, once my writer's level hits 5, i can write compound sentences :P.
