Back Story:
This manga follows the adventures of twins(boy and girl), who are decedents of the all fabled elementalist. Stories about the elementalist are known by all as just stories. However the stories are long forgotten true story, of how one person known only as the elemental is saved their planet from utter destruction. When the earth finally starts to fall apart after all of meddling the humans have caused, eg. global warming, that caused the ice caps to melt in the arctic, which also caused the warm Atlantic current to shut down, setting everything around the Atlantic into a ice age, while other places where suffering from other intense climate changes. He was able to accomplish this by his control over the earths elements, the origins to his powers were never found out.

This of course is not the end of the background. The human race being the way it is wanted to harness this great power for weapons of war. So the greatest minds of the time work together to recreate his power. Yielding what is known as the elemental stones, which allowed its holder the ability to control the elements themselves. The only drawback was that the intense power given to the wielder sent them into a rage blinded by power. Unable to be stopped by any known means , the world was once again in peril.

The elementalist had to once again intervene. He defeated each of the stone holders one by one, collecting each stone, until they were all free from the stones grasps. The world was safe once again. However the elemental stones were not able to be destroyed, so he hid them to the far reaches of the earth, hoping that they wont be discovered and the world can finally be at peace.

The elementalist never resurfaced again. However, some of the stones found their way back into civilization once again many centuries later, and the two twins find themselve amist a journey to save the world just as their ancestor had once done before.

Story: (the beginning at least and overall idea)
Overall its an adventure story of twins and their speical ability that was unknownly pass down by generations. Its mostly questing for the stones, and the development of thier power, friendship and their personality. Mostly gonna be a comedy/action (maybe a lil romance who knows).

It begins with the twins at a young age, time for bed, mother tells the legend ( which will be a lot less detailed then the back story).

Chapter One:(each chapter being like one episode) Begins with them much later lost in a forest, after an argument, and a bit of violence(A rather large mallet will be involved). Tai runs into an ermine. Which runs away after a brief encounter. They eventually wander into ruins, and fall into a hidden tunnel after hoshi spots the ermine again. They wonder around a bit and discover a chamber with markings which appear to be a holding chamber for something precious, the alter has an indentation of something that was recently removed. The ermine appears again and Tai quickly scoops it up and squeezes the living daylights out of it. The ermine panics and starts to talk(something like too tight cant breath), freak out he drops the ermine, and back away, and it talks again (something like looks like the jig is up), both of the twins stare at it. Shaya notices that its carrying an odd stone, she recognizes it as being a elemental stone(based off of something she has read before). They chase after it (Shaya wants to examine the stone or something). Eventually hoshi catches it by its tail and holds it above the ground. The stone begins to glow so bright that Tai drops it and backs off. With a puff of smoke and a shadow of a figure in the smoke the chapter ends.


Characters:(more chars and pics will be added later)
-Tia

The oldest of the twins, she has a tendency to be gentle, calm, and collected, but has no problem regulating her younger brother (with a large mallet or fan, that comes out of no where) when he steps out of line. She enjoys reading anything and everything she can get her hands onto, almost to the point of obsession. She has a strong sense of justice and cant seem to mind her own business, which constantly get the duo in trouble.

-Tai

The younger of the two, he is often hasty and doesn’t think things through. Has a quick wit and cant seem to keep quiet when he has an opinion. Tai is a sucker for anything cute furry things and loves animals. He also doesn’t like conflict, and is a tad too trusting. Another one of his quarks is that he has a hard time with sentence structure around cute girls he doesn’t know, or when hes in a situation that involves Shaya that have a sort of "adult" feel going on, at least that is what she wants him to think.

-Lunis

A perky young teenage genius. She loves to take apart and build mechanical devices. She has a tendency to be quite loud, and when she’s in a good mood, which is usually always, though if push enough, she will burst into tears. She has an obvious crush on Tai that she doesn't try to hide, but their age difference seems to be too much for there to be any kind of relationship past friends. She carries a shoulder bag where ever she goes, the contents are unknown, and sometimes pulls objects that are larger then the bag itself. She runs into the group during one of her regular tech hunts.

-Shaya

Lita is a few years older then the twins. She wears her heart on her sleeve, making it fairly easy to figure out how shes feeling. However, when she need or wants to hide it, she has an unbeatable poker face(to help keep the mystery of the story in check). She appears to be very affectionate and just loves squeezing people she holds dear. Has a habit of teasing Tai, and playing with his heart, just for a good laugh. She has a tendency to be quite talkative, though as soon as the subject of her past comes up she shuts up like a clam(to help keep the mystery of the story in check). A strange and mysterious past has left her with the ability transform into animals at will, though it does take intense consentration, however she loses control of her strange power whenever sneezes or is emotionally distracted. A few years back she was abducted along with her younger sister, and did experimental testing on them. Her main goal is to reunite with her sister.

-Elementalist
Not much is known about the hero of legends, except that he had the ability to manipulate the elements.

Abilities and drawbacks the elemental stones:
-Control of the element the stone represents
-Powers of the stone is based off the personality of the wielder.
-"Elemental Shift" advance technique that changes the wielders costume and allows the power of generating of elemental area which effect the environment in a set area, things such as climate change and generating of the elements (ex. water out of nothing).
-Being twins decedents they have the ability of a dual elemental shift, being able to harness the powers of the stones they both are using.
-Only one can be used at a time, and it cant be turned off and on like a light switch.
-When wielded by average person causes them to slow go insane with power and whatever drives them most. (I could be thought of like how Riku gets consumed by darkness in KH, how he just wanted to find and save kairi). Only Tai and Tia don’t seem affected by this.

Lunis's Mechanical Devices:
-Mechanical arm that attaches to the shoulder mimicking the movements of the arm.
-Goggles that allow her many types of vision (ex. night vision, infared, x-ray), along with magnification capabilities.
-Shoulder bag that seems to hold everything she could ever need to tinker with mechanical devices.
-Shoes with skates built right in for quick get aways.


Shaya's Animal Transformations:(only one at the moment)
-Ermine a ferret type of animal.

Things i need help with:
-Character design for the mother of the twins, and a design for thier house (a type of cabin things in the woods).
-Character designs for the "bad guys" like people who happen to get thier hands on the elemental stones. Other random people that you would like to grace the pages of my manga, i wouldn’t like any copy righted chars, dont wanna be sued.
-Animal ideas that lita becomes and what for.
-Character designs for possible male chars, this manga seems to be heavy on the female characters. To play off of Tai's weakness toward girls.
-Designing a mechanical devices that Lunis will use.
-Designing costumes for Elemental Shifts.
-Possible chapter ideas that any of u may have after reading this thread.
-Any C+C you can give on story, characters, or any other aspects of my manga.

okok i read through all of that and started skimming when i got to the abilities part. its really good :D first thing i noticed, is you need probably another male main character. i cant think of anything else right now, the storyline is pretty good :D
and one of the possible animals that Lita can turn into - a fox!! yeah, take that into consideration.. i'll post later with more ideas.

edit- sorry, like i said i skimmed through the end stuff. hmm, a possible design for another male character could be a somewhat older man? im not sure how to fit him into the story though...

You can draw right, y dont you sketch something out. Thats how i kill time.
But i dont really enjoy drawing guys. Maybe he could be like a a mentor to Tai like how sanjiro was teaching shugo, or something like that. Maybe some hidden evil intensions.

haha, nah i cant draw XP but i'll help you brainstorm some more.. hmm.. yeah another guy as a mentor-ish kind of character, OH you could even put in a pet into the story, like some kinda animal that goes with them everywhere, lol i dunno :P im tired so i'll think up some more stuff tomorrow.

Thats a pretty good idea pet. Hmm Something small, possibly fuzzy, to misrepresent to cause more of a shock facter when he goes evil. Or maybe a crow to represent his dark side.

He should be around late 20's maybe mid 30's. Or maybe he could be fairly old like 40-50's.
