Which one would you perfer to buy

Ps3 the xbox 360 has always ticked me off especially because it's becoming overhyped. see conversation I had below

Gamestop employee: (in reference to me not wanting to reserve the 360) but you can have a custom soundtrack in every game

me: that's why I have an iPod, and a cd player

Gamestop Employee: plus you can play xbox games on the 360

Me: that's why I have a xbox

Gamestop employee: but you can have chat's with friends on it, and it has online play

Me: yeah but I wan't to play games, not be called a n00b by some ten year old kid for several hours

Me i would go with the xbox but im not buying any tell the fucking prices drop that bullshit what there asking for them.

I say ps3.. I went to preorder one and was ofered a xbox order .. i told him id think about it if he sucked my dick.. he just Did my pre purchase

I'd go with PS3. XBOX 360 is going to be packed with new functions for business and crap. But both the designs are pretty. Sony's made good stuff in the past.

But, they asked PS3 or XBOX 360, so if I had to choose just between those two, it had to be PS3. Even if I wouldn't have enough money for it. PS3 definitely.

Yeah, if I only had to choose the two.. Say I already had a Revolution.. Then I'd go for the PS3. There's no reason for me to get an X-Box. But there's actually uses for a PS3.

^^exactly...the only reason I would get an xbox360 is if they came out with another halo...but I've played me enough halo for a while and why pay that much just for one game...

The Xbox 360 definately has great CG. seen the full auto trailer? looks like real cars. they didn't change the dreamcast rip-off controller, which is good. out of the original Xbox, the best thing i liked about it was the controller.

yup. that's pretty much it. microsoft screwed themselves over. "guess what?! we set it up so you can spend even more money through xbox live! you can buy new maps for games made by other players! you can't play original xbox games on the 360 unless you buy and download a patch! so much fun!!!

Well, I was talking to my cousin alot about this he agrees that the PS3 will be the best system out. However the XBox 360 would sadly still hold best graphics he believes. The PS3 has the potentional to being the best console without a doubt but Sony is putting it out on the market to soon so certain aspects are going to suck about it because of it. I'll post more about this later I need alittle sleep to think of what else we said.

All Xbox360 has is gay little army games..PS3 probably has all the old fashion games..which are way better.

I like the PS3, xbox360 sucks.

Well, since we know virtually zilch about the PS3, due to the horrible press conference. And due to the fact that the games they did have demoned weren't very impressive. (Hey the games were constnaly lagging, the highlights of the system were RIDGE RACER!, and a game that claims to know Japanese history) I have to say the PS3 sucks. It isn't that impressive, and for the most part a lot of the stuff said to come out for it is false. Course they still have a year before it comes out, so they have a chance. But when RIDGE RACER 7! Is the most facinating thing at your conference, I gotta say. You're screwed.
(They only have one interesting game)

I have to say the 360 because although it doesn't really impress me much so far, it's out and it has potential. Also it has a few decent games already. PS3 doesn't have that of course. If the Revolution was a choice I'd go with that.

And if I could buy another system besides the Rev. it'd probably be the 360.

Sure they're vastly superior, but the one problem is they can't handle the technology. Many times during the demos they showed, the games were lagging. And a few times froze.

PS3 is better than the Xbox 360 I should know.

I'm sorry but as of now, the PS3 looks like a failure, sutre that have a year to get ready, but with only one interesting game, and technology they aren't ready for, it looks like shit.

Which is why I voted for thwe 360, it's already out, it looks just as good the PS3, and it has more then one interesting game.

One game that might make me want to buy a 360 is Dead Rising, it's a zombie game, but you're trapped by shit loads of zombies in a mall, and you can use anything in that mall as a weapon. To me it seems like an interesting idea.

I've also read recent articles looking at certain percentages of the new gaming systems. The PS3 is the one people want to least develop for, and a lot of developers say that if they make games for the 360 it'll feel like the Saturn all over again. (Meaning no matter how long they work on it, a game will still be crap) And a lot of people agree that the PS3's technology is only average or bad. About 20 percent of people thought it was good. And many people (about 80 percent) say that the PS3 is too expensive that they won't buy it.

Now, I'm not saying that I worship the PS3 or anything. See my post in here from September of last year. I'm all Nintendo.

But.

The 360 holds absoultely no value to me as a gaming system. There are no games on it that I have any interest in. (pfft, the ps3 isn't much better).(oh yeah, FFXII). Sure, the graphics seem pretty damn nice, but that doesn't do me much good if I'm not playing any games.

The 360 is for football players, not gamers.

Basically, it comes down to a personal preference. OH WAIT. That's what this topic was about in the first place, remember? Not an arguement on which is better.

I also play games for gameplay not graphics, but some of the games seem interesting to me.

I used to think the same thing about the Xbox, "it's just a sports lovers system". You need to look beneath that, they have a lot of exclusive games for it that are fun. Like Stubbs the Zombie for example, or Jade Empire. (Or the Kingdom Under Fire series, which combines hack and slash with stratogory perfectly) (Or that one mystery game, where you're the killer. . .I forgot the name of it now) The 360 on the other hand, has a few games coming out that seem slightly interesting. As I mentioned Dead Rising is one of those, another being The Darkness (though that's also for the PS3) they also have Ninety Nine Nights, which seems decent, Shadow Run (also for the PC), Prey (which looks like a much more interesting verison of Half-Life, plus it's gotten almost perfect scores everywhere, also for the PC), Chromehounds, Kane & Lynch Twisted Pair (also for the PC), Only Human,Turok Heart of Darkness (also for the PS3), among many others.

I'm a Nintendo/Mircosoft person, though I like Nintendo a lot more. Hmm. . .

If I sounded like I was arguing I apologize. I just thought after what happenend at E3, plus all of their lagginess in the demos, people would lean more towards the 360. I mean sure the PS3 has some advanced technology, but because developers can't handle it they don't want to produce for it. Think about it, would you want to make a game for a system, knowing it would constanly freeze when gamers are playing? No, they'd want their money back, and perhaps even sue, not just the makers of the game, but Sony as well. Which is one reason as to why it's delayed until late 2007. I'm just trying to look at it as a "at the current moment" kind of thing. and at the current moment, things do not look good for Sony.

I agree with Sathe, the only games that interest in Xbox360 is FFXII and I'm not sure why they even called it a Xbox360 the name of it doesn't fits with it.

The only good thing about the 360 is Oblivion i Think, Still The ps3 Game Teasers Demo things Were AMAZING!!! The Xbox360 Confernce Was More then Unimpresive.. Halo3.. the preview was not all that impresive i think..

Well to me Halo is all the samething to me, the guy in the green armor is like a one man army and the Halo 2 was the most easy shooting game I ever played.
I seen Halo 3 it kinda looks like the samething from the other Halo games so theres nothing new to it really.

I don't see how the PS3's demos were amazing, sure they might of looked nice, but the games were constanly freezing! It was horrible. PS3 was very unimpressive to me anyway. I'm surprised people still think it's the best, most people have doubts in it because of it's conference and those demos.

Ehh, the PS3, is far too expensive, and laggy for my tastes. I don't want to play something that's constanly going to freeze on me, it's good technology yeah, but people can't handle it, which is one of my points about it.

It's 360 because the logo for the system is a circular ball.

Halo 3, god, why is it that people always think Xbox is just a sports lovers or Halo fan system. There's many excluise games that are much better that never got the recognition that they deserved. Like the KUF games, they came out around the same time as Halo so not a lot of people heard of them.

Frankly I find pretty much every game I've ever played better then Halo, that game just got lucky, it didn't deserve the attention or awards it got. It was a fairly poor to average shooter. Sure it may have a decent story, but decent stories can't save poor to average gameplay.

What my point is people need to look past sterotypes, the Xbox and the 360 as well does have some pretty fun/interesting games if you actually bother to look for them.

Yes there are way better games then Halo, but it was kinda fun when you play with Xboxlive but it got soo easy on the live when start getting 20 kills and 0 deaths and it just got boring so fast.
I think Startwars battlefront 2 or battlefield 2 was better them Halo becuase they are base on war some era, Starwars and Battlefied 2 you have more players and your all equal when gameplay and it was better fun when play online.

Xbox 360 cause it has alot better Graphics and the games are alot cooler I reckon.
