Well, i just read a book based on .hack called .hack//AI Busters, and its interesting if any1 know of .hack as much as i do, the world was created in 2007, after the internet was destroyed. Now what i mean by that is everything related to the internet went through a huge virus called pluto kiss, which killed the internet and all webpages and such. So i read in the book that it happened for 77 minutes, planes crashed, trains collided,(this took place december 24, 2005) and what happened was when the internet went down, the pentagons computers believed to be inpenetrable by viruses fell victim, and thought washington DC was destroyed and began a swquence to destroy the world in a nuclear holocaust, now i actually think all of that would happen.

What dp u think would happen if the internet was destroyed?

We are so used to internet being there and rely on it too much, that without it, man will go mad and long lost instincts will kick in and we will al go back to our primitive ways of being cavemen. And when some guy talks about internet, old people will say " that was a long, long time ago....."

Yea, im pretty sure some people would go crazy because maybe theyre whole purpose of existense is the internet. And fayt btw its not a manga, its actually a book. Wierd eh..

O and the perpetrator of the virus was a 10 year old kid from Los Angeles

They also say it in .Hack//sign. In the special features on the american version they have a timeline. Anyway. If they internet would crash I doubt that the superpowers would crash and nuclear holocost would begin. First if you think about it, why would the Pentagon use internet to launch nuclear missles and stuff. I don't think we would even go into a depression, seeing as most of the records are kept off the internet as well. I think the only real bad thing that would happen is alot of people wouldn't be able to get a hold of each other. It would through the superpowers into a little bit of chaos for a little bit, but we would get something similar up soon. This is just a theory so you guys can bash it at any time ^_^

While .hack//AI Busters and .hack//Zero are called Novels, I prefer to call em manga.

The US probly has some kind of backup internet i dunno but i coudlnt live with out internet even all games i play online i dont talk on the phone msn is easier sometimes

I might get so bored I'd go outside, and then I'd probably melt. Actually, I'm not really sure what would happen. I don't try it very often. Better safe than sorry, ya know.

I would die. I would have no music. I don't buy CDs, of course not! I download! Everything! Then I burn it to CDs for the rare occasions when I have to leave the house! I haven't burned any for quite a while, so they're outdated. What's that you say, illegally downloading is wrong? That's okay with me! Pirates rock! =D

This would also mean no FFXI. That would mean mass suicides. If I had nothing better to do, which I wouldn't (no 'net, remember?), I might join 'em.

My big problem will be the Internet banking facility that I have been relying too much on... coz I don't want to queue up at the bank. that will be bad.

other than that, i might not miss the IM or blogs. come to think of it, it will be better off without it, so less fighting over some minor details and such...

Indeed, no internet would be very weird. And terrible, I just moved out to the middle of nowhere! So my only connection of intelegent life is through the internet. I need this thing!

No internet, would make a lot of people crazy, i would really miss my board, contacts and ANIMÉS.. :sigh:

I used to stay on the internet alot, but I got bored with stuff, so I got off for a few months. Now I'm back on, and this is a forum that will keep me partly motivated. ^.^

The ineternet is also a great place but it can be dangerous when your not careful.

The day the internet crashed is the day that the world would end. Seriously too many people depend on it, if it just up and vanished I guarentee you that over half of the people in the world (all the fat people) would die because they wouldn't go out for food. Then all the emos would commit mass suicide because they can't download their emo music. The hippies would then follow due to the fact that they hate "the man" and anything involving corpations.. . .Which would just leave Kansas, well, at least we still need a mule in every town!
