Title: Stump the Naught
Description: just try it

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 12:49 AM (GMT)
I really didn't think it was fair to match wits with a 12 year old since i have had more studies than him (not trying to be mean Dark Magician Knight.) So i have decided to make my own topic.

ok one rule: no personal questions unless i have talked to you and you know that you told me.

READY, SET, ASK AWAY

crapshack - January 21, 2005 01:14 AM (GMT)
Okay, now I can ask you some questions. Good ones too.

Which of the Roman emperors is said to have watched Rome burn as he played the lyre and sang 'The Sack of Troy?'

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 01:20 AM (GMT)
Man making me think way back, but i believe it was Nero but I'm not quite sure about that.

crapshack - January 21, 2005 03:19 AM (GMT)
Oh, you good

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 03:27 AM (GMT)
I haven't learned that in 4 years so i had to rack my brain for it.

sorry if this topic is making me sound cocky, but i need something to do and i have to study for final in May.

Naruto-Uzamaki - January 21, 2005 03:55 AM (GMT)
who the wrote, the original: sir gawain and the loathly lady.

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 04:00 AM (GMT)
it was originally written by Brian Keairns I believe. Then re-written by Selina Hastings? of vice-versa not quite for sure.

crapshack - January 21, 2005 04:07 AM (GMT)
This topic is good. It's a little better than Dark Magician Knight, but that's probably because he doesn't know as much as you. I suppose you're an upperclassman? And how old is he?

Next question:

What is the general theme of the short story "The Lottery"
I wonder if you've read it already...

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 04:12 AM (GMT)
he is 12 and I'm 16.

and is the story you are talking about by shirley jackson?

dualist - January 21, 2005 04:21 AM (GMT)
I have a hard one:

NHL, what was the original name of the Bell Centre, Montreal, where the Montreal Canadians play?

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 04:32 AM (GMT)
I don't know that much about Canada, but I do know some. Is it by chance Molson Centre??? If not you stumped me.

Cyril - January 21, 2005 07:24 AM (GMT)
Well hmm... Here is one.
Who is the author of the fantasy book "The Sapphire Rose"?
Should be easy.

I'm Much Smarter then him >.< lol

anyway,

In The Famous Billy Idol Song, What Kind Of Wedding Was It?

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
DMK that would White Wedding.

Cyril I believe that is David Eddings can't remember the first name exactly but i think that is right.

Cyril - January 21, 2005 06:03 PM (GMT)
That would be correct. :)
Then another question.
Which company designed the RTS Game "Rise of Nations"?

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 06:38 PM (GMT)
i believe it is Big Huge Games.

Crapshack if it is the one by Jackson then it is about Human Sacrafices.

dualist - January 21, 2005 08:27 PM (GMT)

Wow, you got it.

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 09:47 PM (GMT)
I have a Canadian friend and I ask him a lot of stuff about Canada and I have learned quite a bit.

Cyril - January 21, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
You're right. Another question again. :P
Which number is the game Guilty Gear XX in the series?

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 10:48 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure because i really don't follow that series, but i do know that there ae like 2 for the wonderswan, 1 for the xbox and other stuff, 1 for the playstation, and 2 for the psx and other stuff. So with that said I say 5th but 3rd without wonderswan. I am probably wrong because like I said I don't follow that series.

Cyril - January 21, 2005 10:49 PM (GMT)
Well yeah i guess i should have been clearer.
So i'll make the question a bit more clear.
I meant only the PS1 and PS2 games.

Coconaught - January 21, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
Just go with my other one 3rd or 5th. Depends on if you count X plus

Cyril - January 22, 2005 08:35 AM (GMT)
Well...
I counted Guilty Gear(PS1), Guilty Gear X(PS2) and Guilty Gear XX. So it's 3.

Coconaught - January 22, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
i wasn't sure if X plus came before or after XX.

crapshack - January 23, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)
Okay, Coconaught, you good. You really good. I'm gonna stop asking question, because I doubt I can stump the Naught

Coconaught - January 23, 2005 06:14 PM (GMT)
when i made this topic I was kinda hoping to get more school stuff then games and sports so if you guys could cut down on that stuff it would help. You can still ask those kind of questions but try to ask stuff I would have learned in school. I need to study for finals and this is more fun then reading a book.

Naruto-Uzamaki - January 23, 2005 06:27 PM (GMT)
hm, gimme a link to an analysis of dr. martin luther kings speech. 5 paragraphs plz so i can plagarize :). well can you do it?

crapshack - January 23, 2005 06:46 PM (GMT)
That is so random Naruto. ANd so wrong. Never try to steal from the MLK Jr. I will kill you personally.

Anyways, Naught, good nickname, by the way.
Who did Augustus the emperor marry his daughter, Julia to? How many children did they have and the names of the children.

Coconaught - January 23, 2005 07:07 PM (GMT)
Naruto that isn't a question and i would never help you cheat.

Crapshack that is a hard question and I'm not sure if the names will be right. She married Marcellus which was Augustus' nephew they had no children but when Marcellus died Agrippa married her and they had 5 kids: Gaius, Lucius, Postumus, Julia, and Agrippina.

Like i said i'm not sure if those are the right names but I am trying to go through memory and we learned a lot about that time.

crapshack - January 23, 2005 08:00 PM (GMT)
Haha, you're RIGHT! Hehe, I didn't know he married Marcellus to her. And I didn't know Julia was one of their kids too. Or Agrippina. Haha.

Naruto-Uzamaki - January 23, 2005 11:24 PM (GMT)
Well, anyway i was going to paraphrase it but i already made my own essay XD. o.K. Who was the seventh pharoah of egypt?

Coconaught - January 24, 2005 03:56 AM (GMT)
well good for you naruto, and the answer is Amenhotep the 2nd. I only remembered the name because of the show the Mummy.

dory_undead - January 24, 2005 04:40 AM (GMT)
who was the last of the great pharohs?

Coconaught - January 24, 2005 04:43 AM (GMT)
that would be Ramses the 3rd and welcome dory.

dory_undead - January 24, 2005 05:01 AM (GMT)
"i feel pretty, oh so pretty.." who was the greatest composer of the classical era?

Coconaught - January 24, 2005 05:06 AM (GMT)
I did learn something in Orchestra, Mozart

.hackFan156 - January 24, 2005 05:51 AM (GMT)
I'm bored...

Find the y-intercept of: 3x+2y=6.

Think you can do this?

Liminality - January 24, 2005 07:44 AM (GMT)
hehe how old are you? i'd imagine something like that to be very easy to coconaught :P

Sathe - January 24, 2005 08:01 AM (GMT)
Yeah, that's one even I know. I'd think it'd be easy. Not to sound mean, or anything... But yeah.

Liminality - January 24, 2005 09:46 AM (GMT)
